10 Strategies to report a scammer on the Internet Part 2

10 Strategies to report a scammer on the Internet Part 2

Strategy # 5 Rip Off Report:

http://www.ripoffreport.com/ is the most popular website in the world to expose a scammer. This website has millions of visitors each month. Most of these visitors do searches on Rip Off Report hoping to find any negative information on a certain individual or business. For example, if I were about to invest thousands of dollars on a company called XYZ, I would definitely do a quick search on Rip Off Report to see if they have any “dirty laundry” before I risk any of my hard earned money.

If I find that XYZ has a bad reputation on Rip Off Report, then I would definitely stay away from them. Rip Off Report is free so you have nothing to lose. The amount of traffic Rip Off Report gets every month is amazing. Any scammer who is exposed on Rip Off Report can possibly be viewed by millions of people worldwide.

The good thing about Rip Off Report is not only that they allow you to post a complaint, you can also attach up to 3 photos of the scam artist. Therefore, anyone can see the image of the scammer and even if he or she changes their name, they will still be exposed.

Rip Off Report is so prolific that it has sent many companies out of business. You can literally destroy the reputation of a person or business in a short period of time with the power of the Internet. That is why many scammers hate Rip Off Report. But those of us who love justice and honesty, well, we love Rip Off Report because it brings more transparency to the business world.

Note: You can also use a fictitious name when you register and file a report on the website: http://www.ripoffreport.com/.
Note: http://www.ripoffreport.com/ has also managed to recover millions of dollars for victims worldwide. Many companies and scammers are so embarrassed that some wish to resolve the complaint, and many even go so far as to return some of the money (negotiate) with the victim.

For this reason, while you can use a fictitious name when you register with http://www.ripoffreport.com/, it is recommended that you use a legitimate email so that if you are contacted by Rip Off Report, (for example, the scammer wants to give some money back to you and make peace with you), then you can negotiate with them.

I personally know someone who recovered 50% of their money from a scam using Rip Off Report. The way it works on Rip Off Report is a complaint is never removed. However, if a company responds (arbitration) and corrects the error (victim restitution), then the complaint is resolved and the reputation of the company or scammer is improved or in some cases repaired.

Anyway, I hope you understand how powerful Rip Off Report really is. If you still have doubts about Rip Off Report, take a look at these 2 real complaints Rip Off Report website yourself, and tell me who really wants to be embarrassed on this website? I just browsed http://www.RipOffReport.com and found this complaint.

The person who filed this report also attached a picture of the scam artist. Just click on the following link to see this example: A real complaint about a scammer on Rip Off Report:

Note: I did not write this complaint. I'm just using it as an example. However, this complaint is real and written by a real person and published on the website of Rip Off Report.
There you have it. The actual exposure of the bad guys. And the best part, http://www.RipOffReport.com is free!

Strategy # 6 Blogger

The sixth strategy is to use the popular website: http://www.blogger.com. Blogger is a free blogging platform that allows any user in the world to publish their own website or blog for free. But that's not all, Blogger also give you a free subdomain (website address) and free web hosting.

This means you can create and publish a website on the Internet for free with Blogger. For example, this web site you are currently reading was created for free with Blogger. The subdomain (or website address) that you are reading right now is: http://thescamartistexposed.blogspot.com/

That's right. It didn’t cost me a penny to create and publish this web site you are reading right now. And it's very easy to create a blog or website on Blogger. If you can create a profile on Facebook, then you can also create your own website with Blogger. No need to learn computer programming or any other high-tech skills.

In fact, Blogger lets you create as many blogs or websites as you wish. You can create a website or blog on any topic you want. However, in this example, I'll show how you can create a website or blog to expose a scammer.

First, you have to create an email account with Gmail before registering an account with Blogger. If you already have a Gmail email account, then you are ready to start. If you do not have a Gmail email account, go to http://www.gmail.com and sign up for a free email account. Be sure to note the username and password to manage your account.

Once you have a Gmail email account, go to the following Web address: https://www.blogger.com  and enter the email address and password you created with Gmail. Then click the "Register" button on Blogger. After you register with Blogger, click where it says "create blog" and create your own blog through your email (Gmail) you created earlier. You will have to choose a subdomain name for the address of your website. For example, I choose "thescamartistexposed" as my subdomain.

Note: Blogger will then add "blogspot.com" at the end of your subdomain and that completes your website address or URL. If you want your own personal domain name, you can always buy one from http://www.godaddy.com and then you can connect your domain name with your blog on Blogger. However, it costs about $10 or more a year to register a .com domain name. In my opinion, there is no reason to pay when you can use the free subdomain Blogger.

The only reason you should consider buying a custom domain name, is when you are creating a website for your own business. But in this case you are just creating a website to report a scammer, so do not worry about using a subdomain. The purpose is to expose the person who scammed you to the world. And a subdomain works exactly the same way as a custom domain. There is no difference except in the name. Be sure to write your username and password to your account so you can manage your blog.

Note: If desired, you can use a fictitious name or a nickname on your Gmail and or Blogger account.

Now that your blog is already registered in Blogger, you can now post your complaint on your blog. Click where it says "post" (post) and you can start writing your complaint here. Blogger lets you upload images or videos, so you can add a picture of the scammer in the complaint. This is very easy to do. Just click where it says "insert image" and you can upload a photo from your computer in the complaint.

After you have finished writing your complaint and inserting the images, click where it says "publish" and Blogger will publish your complaint to the world. And that’s it.

Your report will now be visible all over the Internet exposing the scam artist or person who scammed you. The good thing is that Blogger is free and costs nothing to use it. You can watch this YouTube video showing how easy it is to create a web site with Blogger. This video is a tutorial on how to use Blogger:

Strategy # 7 Facebook and YouTube

It is also a good idea to use some of the most popular social websites sites in the world especially the two following giants: http://www.facebook.com  and http://www.youtube.com to expose scammers. I do not think you need an explanation to know how big Facebook and Youtube are right now. We all know that millions of people use Facebook and YouTube every day worldwide.

Who does not have a personal profile on http://www.FaceBook.com sharing personal photos with friends and close relatives? Who does not use http://www.youtube.com to watch videos, movies, etc. online? More than 1 billion people use Facebook around the world. This means that nearly 1 in 7 people around the world use Facebook.

Well, then you understand how powerful these two websites are. You can easily create an account http://www.facebook.com using a fictitious name and then post the complaints you wrote on Rip Off Report and Complaints Board on your Facebook wall. By doing this you will help expose the scammer to more people. This is very easy to do and can be done in 10 minutes.

http://www.youtube.com can also be used to expose a scammer. If you have access to Windows Movie Maker (software to create videos with photos) you can easily create a video with photos of the scammer and upload your video to your YouTube channel. And after you upload the video to http://www.youtube.com  you can put "keywords" (keywords) in the video so that when a person does a search on http://www.youtube.com the video of the scammer will appear.

For example, if the scammer is called "John Doe" and lives in "Miami, Florida" and he owns a company called “XYZ” you can write "John Doe", "Miami", "scammer" “XYZ” and "Florida" as good keywords (keywords) related to your video . This means that when anyone in the world does a search with these keywords on YouTube, the video that you have created exposing the scammer will appear in the video list.

If you need any help on using YouTube or Facebook, go to http://www.youtube.com  and search with the words "tutorials for YouTube" or "tutorials for Facebook." There are many tutorials on YouTube that are free to help you learn more about how to use popular social websites like YouTube, Facebook, etc.

It's fun to use Facebook and YouTube. However, remember to never expose your personal information when you use these websites to inform the world of a scam artist. If you would like to see real examples of YouTube videos created by victims of scammers, have a look at these videos:

As you can see, the videos do not have to be long. Even a short video can do justice, provided that it warns people to be wary of a scam artist.

Note: I did not create these videos, I just browsed http://www.Youtube.com and found these videos, which are good examples of how to create a video to expose a scammer to the entire world. Remember, millions of people use YouTube every day!

Note: These are just some videos I found. However, there are literally hundreds of videos on YouTube in many different languages that expose scammers. A good example of using technology to bring some justice!

Strategy # 8 other websites for victims of scammers

Do not lose hope. Continue publishing reports and complains on the Internet. Your goal should be to at least publish 3 different report or complaints in 3 different websites so that justice will be done against the person who scammed you. You can find other websites that are dedicated to helping victims of scams doing a simple search on http://www.google.com. There are many websites dedicated to helping victims of scams.

You can also use websites that have free classified ads, and then publish a report on a con artist on these websites. Here are some other websites that are free to use and where you can expose scammers:

In my opinion, I think it's best to start with these two popular websites: Complaints Board and Rip Off Report. Rip Off Report is the most popular website in the world for victims of scams, while Complaints Board is also good. However, I recommend that you first create a complaint on Rip Off Report, simply because it is so popular and also the fact that many victims have been able to recover money thanks to the hard work of the creators of http://RipOffReport.com. They are doing a great job.

It should not take you more than 30 minutes to file a complaint on Rip Off Report and or Complaints Board. After this, then you can create a free website with Blogger and also post a complaint about the person or business who scammed you. And after this, you can create pages with http://www.facebook.com and http://www.youtube.com denouncing the scammer. In fact, on your Facebook wall, you can paste the URL (website address) of your Blogger URL and also of your http://www.ripoffreport.com complaint link.

You can also paste these same links on your YouTube channel to help drive more traffic to your websites and therefore warn more people of the scam artist. However, if you are short on time then just concentrate on Rip Off Report and Complaints Board.

These two websites are very fast and easy to create, besides being extremely popular on the Internet. Then in the future when you have more time you can use other web sites that also help victims expose scammers.

Strategy # 9 United we stand, divided we fall

Very soon you will have your complaints on the Internet and that is good news for our society. You will help to protect other people and their families from becoming the next victims of these spineless scammers who don’t care about the welfare of others.

However, another good strategy is to join forces with other victims of the scam artist who scammed you. If you know other people who have been victims of the same scam artist (or scammers) who scammed you, try to contact them if possible. Explain to the other victims of what you have read on this website.

If possible, give them the URL of my website so that they too can read this page for themselves:

While you’re at it, also ask them if they have photos of the fraudster. Maybe you can exchange photos and information about the scammer and his accomplices with the other victims. If you have a picture of the scammer in digital format, it is easy to copy and send to anyone via email.

Encourage other victims to also publish their own complaints against the same fraudster who conned you. This strategy has great advantages for the following reasons:

1 The more people who report a scammer, the less credibility the scammer will have.

2 With many allegations and complaints on the Internet, the scammer will have no idea who made the allegations, as many different people will have posted complaints.

For example, if only one person denounced a scammer, the scammer can say that this was simply a person who always had a thorn against him. But if there are many people who say the same thing, then the reputation of the scammer will be tarnished.

In addition to exchanging information with other victims, you should also try to keep important information that can be useful for you if in the near future you do decide to sue the scammer. You should make sure to keep copies of the following information:

1. Any contracts that are signed, if they exist
2. Bank receipts (if you withdrew money from your bank to pay the scammer)
3. Phone recordings with the scammer, if you have any
4. Copies of emails the scammer sent you (you can print emails and show them to the judge)
5. Notarized documents of victims of the same scam artist (if they can’t go to court or if they live in another country)
6. Notarized documents of people who know that the scammer has money or real estate hidden in other countries
7.Documents implicating accomplices of the scammer
8. Photos of the scammer and also others who were or are involved in the scam
9. Copies of documents from other victims who have sued the scammer in court
10. Evidence (documents) from your country or in other countries (court orders, claims, etc.) showing that the scammer has a criminal record.

Strategy # 10 Become a detective

From now on, you should always be agile and think like a detective. Keep all evidence that may be helpful to you in the future. All documents are important and you should keep them in a safe place. You never know when you may need these documents to prove your case before a court. If possible, save any "document" that can be useful in the future.

For example, any signed contracts should be saved, if you have them. If you don’t have any contract(s), then try to find any receipt from your bank if you paid by check. Ask people who know the scammer if he or she has any houses or land in another country. But make sure you do this in the most discreet way possible. If the people you talk to suspect that you are investigating the scam artist, someone may warn him or her and the scammer will hide even more.

Ask people who might know the scammer to see if they have any new information. For example, perhaps the scammer moved to another city or another country. Perhaps the scammer changed the name of his or her company. Do a search on Google using the names of all companies that the scammer has used in the past and in the present. Try to do everything with intelligence and prudence.

If the scammer suspects that people are investigating him or her, chances are that he or she will close all their accounts on Facebook, change their phone numbers and disappear. You've seen the detective movies right? Well, this is how you should act. Be as agile as a detective and that way you can beat these crooks at their own game.

If possible, buy a phone recorder (for recording telephone conversations) so if the scammer calls you, you can record everything and use this as evidence. Keep all emails that the scammer sends you and print them as evidence. The following YouTube video explains how consumers can protect themselves from scammers:

That is all. You now know 10 strategies to help you expose a scammer and help warn society. Now you can seek justice and help protect the public from dishonest, unscrupulous individuals. In the next post I will cover how you can use your smartphone to expose a scammer.

Until next time,
